Earning Extra XP: A good way to earn additional XP and coins is to complete quests. To see the quests menu to start completing some yourself, tap on the icon to the left of the screen.
The Importance of Ships: Ships are of utmost important. You require them for the growth of your island. The ships will bring you visitors, and these visitors will spend lots of cash on your besutiful paradise island.
Buying a Ship: If you are not sure how you want to buy a ship, this can help: you must order a ship on the hammer icon that will tap into the lower right corner of the screen to purchase. Now tap on the ship icon. You are given the opportunity, to pick a captain, that would guide your crew. Select a captain of your choice and you will then be taken to the placement mode. Here you can decide exactly where you want the ship to be docked. Once you have placed the ship, you must create them before you can use it. Once the ship has been completely finished, tap on it to potential travel can be sent to the boat show. Depending on how far the journey is, it can take up anywhere 5 hours a day for the ship to return. The longer rides will generally yield more beads than the shorter, however. Speeding Stuff Up: As you may know, the houses and shops on the island are good enough to make money on their own. You can help speed things up a bit by upgrading them to have higher output. If you wish to do this you need to tap on the building you want to upgrade, then on the Upgrade button. These upgrades normally cost pearls, which you can earn by sending ships on voyages. So, get as many pearls as possible to speed things up.
Coins and collecting: All of your buildings have a max amount of coins you can collect from them. This is the amount shown when you build them, and it reaches that amount in the time it says when you tap them (“Collect from x in y minutes”). However, you can collect from a building early, about halfway through the total time. This means that if you play a lot, you can continually collect from your buildings. This is especially useful for houses, which have a low max. If you play less often, you’ll still get a lot from your merchants. There is no downside to collecting early and not much downside if you let a building max out. The latter is similar to our other games.
Upgrading, voyages, and the inventory Hints and Tips: All of your merchants can be upgraded to give you more coins. This is done by tapping them, then ‘Upgrade’ and then spending pearls (and other gems in later levels). To acquire pearls, you send your ship(s) off on voyages by tapping it then ‘Voyage’. Longer voyages cost more coins but bring back more pearls. You can also upgrade your ship with pearls to bring back even more pearls. To check the amounts of pearls etc you have, tap the chest in the bottom left corner.
Help with Expansion costs. You’ve probably noticed that these go up as you expand the game, like everything else goes up unfortunately. I’m not aware of the cost just going up when you haven’t done anything. Expansion costs seem to go down through time since you last expanded your land, forcing you to be patient or be tempted to use real money. Having developed my game quite considerably, the cost of expansion is now more than 9,100,000 for me! It is sad that all costs go up at too great a rate as you buy more manufacturers, houses etc, and this also applies to the cost of sending ships to collect treasure. There is a risk of this putting me off what is a really enjoyable game. Something needs to be done to reduce the rate of increase in costs.
Exploration Hints and Tips: Sticking out of the mist are various objects of interest. These unlock their own quests, and they also give you the land around them when you reach them. They do take up space, so it’s good to put quest decorations or houses around them, and we have further plans for them in the future. Chopping wood takes energy. However, not all trees are created equal, and so some take more energy than others.. You can expand multiple plots of land at once, if you have purchased several explorers. This is useful for both exploring more as well as expanding a central area for more buildings
General Tips and Hints for the Game: In the early part of the game, coins, which are the regular currency in the game, are very few and far between. Most of the houses and other things that you can build do not pay very well in coins. Keep building more and more houses, as soon as you get the money/experience level for them. The more you build, the more merchants you can build as well, and merchants don’t take long to pay MASSIVE sums of money early on in the game. When you are looking for land to expand, you don’t have to buy land that is directly connected to land that you already own. In fact, whatever the next place is that you can explore (such as a cave or a tower), you can buy land right next to it. Then, once you own that land, you can expand to the land with the artifact on it, and explore it, without having to worry about owning the entire island. There is no way to sell any item that you have already placed on your land, whatsoever. So before you build a building or a decoration, be sure of where you REALLY want to put it before you build it, because the game doesn’t let you change its location. More Hints, Tips and Help for Tap Paradise cove: Upgrading ships makes the ships get more pearls/sapphires per voyage but does not reduce the time. Be careful how much you upgrade your ships due to the fact that with each upgrade, the cost to send the ship out on a voyage costs more coins (you probably don’t get yourself trapped and unable to send ships out.) I believe the maximum level upgrade for the ships is level 10 (both of my ships are on voyages at the moment so I can’t doublecheck but I believe this is correct). Upgrading your merchants costs pearls. You have to upgrade the merchant 5 times to get to the next tier. Once you reach this next tier, you see the increase in income. With each increase in tier the number of pearls required to upgrade again goes up. The maximum level your merchants is tier 6. For the 8 hour merchants, it appears they follow similar income/pearl costs. For example: Sugar Mill Tier 4 gives 7664 every 8 hours. It costs 141 Pearls per upgrade. Stone Quarry Tier 2 gives 7664 every 8 hours and costs 141 Pearls per upgrade. Copper Mine Tier 1 gives 7664 every 8 hours and costs 141 Pearls per upgrade. After another upgrade, they all go to an income of 9960 every 8 hours which is the same as what the Fishing Pond Starts out at.

You can build the stone quarry by clicking on the hammer in the bottom right hand corner and then select “Merchants”. You’ll need to have enough coin and wood to build it. Not sure if you have to be at a certain level or not, but if you do it will tell you.
you also have to have enough houses to build the stone quarry. It will tell you hown many more you need to be able to build it, once it showes up in merchants screen.

I am relatively new to this game and was wondering what the sapphires are for. I am slowly accumulating some but can find no explanation of what they are for or how I use them. Can anyone help please.
Higher level ships and merchants require sapphires for upgrades instead of pearls. I’d hold on to them until it is an upgrade for a quest because they are harder to come by.
I am on level 50 and I do not get any more experience or rubies …………. Not fun any more- cannot go visit mermaids or do anything that needs rubies…….

Yes, I believe it’s available at level 13. I had the same issue.
Hi here’s my question: I am at the local raids 1/4 where i have to use the wanted list to attack and defeat a friend. I have logged into the game centr and I see pirates that I can attack but when I do that and defeat them it doesn’t seem to matter. I do not have any friends that r playing this game . Please help! It’s really starting to annoy me that I can’t move forward. Thank you!
you need to attack a pirate with a number involved in his name. he is an individual (non-computer) pirate.

Does anyone know of the more expensive explorers do anything more than the less expensive? I havnt spent any rubies because I’m not sure what they are best spent on… Ideas?!
My ships don’t bring me back any pearls others have complained about this buying land is astronomical 7/8 million and only enough to put one house on it Trying to achieve things in the game is confusing and always costs and finally those pirates need to go they are a con to make you buy coins and are really stupid

Im on loc raids 2/4 but I don’t know how to raid a player, please help
I’m also on raids 2/4, and I also don’t know how to raid a player. I did it once before, to get from 1/4 to 2/4, but I can’t figure out how I did that. I thought the first time I had gone from 1/4 to 2/4 was clicking on battle and battling someone. However, now when i click on Battle and battle someone, it won’t upgrade my raids to 3/4. Does one have to raid a certain ship when clicking on “Battle” or am I doing it all wrong?
Okay, I figured it out. When you click on the Battle icon, you have to battle someone whose name begins with “Playerxxxxxx” where xxxxxx is some number. For instance, “Player123456″ If it doesn’t start with “Player”, then it’s not really a raid.

Does anyone know if going on a 24 hr voyage with Cpt Phillip’s Frigate (Tier 1) at a cost of over 110,000 coins will yield more pearls than going on a 24 hr voyage with Cpt. John Merchants (Tier 2) at a cost of 24,000 coins?
Similarly will going on a 24 hr voyage with Cpt John’s Merchantman (Tier 2) at a cost of over 24,600 coins yield more pearls than going on a 24 hr voyage with Cpt Beth’s Cruiser (Tier 5) at cost of just over 10,000 coins?
I can not expand any more allthough there are plenty of hidden areas. I also do not have the ” built a lumbermill” quest. I am at level 50. Due not being able to expand i also can not chop trees wchich is importand for the wish book to grant wishes. What to do?
There are two lines of quests. One involves completing quests using coins. The other line of quests is done by accumulating rubies and getting areas of land to unlock. Rubies are not easy to come by. Whales give you the best daily chance at rubies. Usually you must tap at least 25 dolphins before a whale may appear, sometimes more. The North Pole wonder gives you a ruby every seven days. Not sure about the other wonders.
I want to know those treasure chests that pop up when you’re chopping trees what ate they for and where do they go to after you tap on them? It’s not added to your coins or to the inventory so what’s it for?
treasure chests are useless. they give 1 or 3 coins it doesnt make sense. so, dont mind just cut the trees!

Trees give woods, it goes to the top right corner. when you build a house or merchant, woods are spent. hope that clarifies
I agree with the decreasing the rate of expanding. Currently I need more than 1.1billion which is 1,127,026,048 coins to expand a piece of land which is spacious enough to build only one merchant. This is insane.. Probably they should allow us to use rubies to expand instead of coins only.

the reason those qeatrurs do not work is that in 2001, to save money, the mint moved to a different metal for minting qeatrurs. Instead of using nickel, they moved to a nickel plated steel, which is a different weight. Most vending machines, payphones, etc. recognize coins by weight.so that is why new qeatrurs tend not to work for anything. It is difficult to set the machines to read 2 different weights for the same coin. so until all machines are set to the new weight you will have difficulty. I know this because I am both a numismatist and a small business owner who ran vending machines when they switched metals.

Some comments:The ship on the roaamdp to the jackpot goes up one space every time you get a triple 7 on the slotmachine.Once in a while you get a big push button on the lower part of your screen. Quickly tap it to close the doors in front of the slotmachine and if you are succesful, you get a guaranteed slot-price or triple 7.To get more coins and never run out, keep aiming for the two slots. Coins are only added in the game bij winning at the slotmachine so keep aiming at those slots and eventually you will get that jackpot.
To be honest, I don’t reemmber which quest it was. All I can recall is that the quest consisted of at least 5-6 parts e.g. Firehouse and Hospital were needed to be built and had to collect rent from them and at the end of the whole stuff I got a Capitol Building (it takes 5 5 ground tiles). I should add that I’m currently on level 66, so getting the quest needs a high level city! (I’d guess level 50+ but I’m not sure ) I hope this proved to be helpful! Have a nice day!

I have a quest where I am suppose to “shake my island for gold” something about how her magnet works and my towns perfect to test it on… What do I do??? I’ve tried shaking my cell moving the island back and fourth… I just can’t get past this one.
You have to open up the app, and shake the iPad for a few seconds BEFORE you zoom in/out or move your view around. Right after you open the app. Oh, and make sure no windows popped up that you need to close.
I had to try it a few times but it worked. A window will pop up and ask you if you want to collect your gold.
That is a good tip particularly to those fresh to the blogosphere.

How do I find the Red Hammer
I am working on the Spring Planting Quest. I was wondering if it is worth spending 9 rubies to buy the Apple Tree (quest 2/5) in order to keep going through the rest of the 5 quests. Quest 2/5 gives 10 sapphires but I’m not sure its worth it to keep working on this particular task.
Help. My game won’t load. When I open it, it goes to the pocket gem screen then shuts off before it gets to the “connecting to server” screen. I have almost cleared the entire cove. I have tried shutting off my device, and turning off the game completely. I do not want to reinstall and start over. Please help.
